Elmer B. Stewart, P.Geol, MSc
Chairman & Director
Mr. Stewart has over 42 years of domestic and international experience in mining and exploration for gold, uranium, base metals and copper. During his career, he has been involved in the financing and acquisition of base metal and gold projects as well the development and construction of two underground mines and the construction and operation of three open pit gold mines. Mr. Stewart led the 2013 Feasibility Study on the Schaft Creek project and was directly involved with negotiating the Schaft Creek Joint Venture Agreement with Teck Resources Limited. Mr. Stewart negotiated the acquisition of Van Dyke and Sombrero Butte projects and supervised the work to advance the Van Dyke project to a development stage project. With approximately 30 years of experience at the senior management level for various companies listed on the TSX and TSX Venture Exchange, he is currently the Chairman, CEO and President of Copper Fox Metals Inc., Chairman of District Copper Corp. and is a Director of Liard Copper Mines Ltd. Mr. Stewart is Copper Fox’s representative on the Management Committee for the Schaft Creek Joint Venture.
President, CEO and Director
Mr. Werbes became President, CEO, and a Director of District Copper Corp. (formerly Carmax Mining) in 2010, and currently has over 20 years experience in mineral exploration and corporate finance/securities. From 2006 until 2008, he provided capital market and corporate development services to Longview Capital Partners Inc. Then, from 2009 to 2014, he was a Director, and eventually President & CEO, of Ansell Capital Corp. Currently, he is on the Board of Directors of Plicit Capital Corp. and provides management, finance, investor relations, and corporate development services to other Issuers through his personal holding company, Calico Management Corp.
Braden Jensen, C.A.
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Jensen obtained his formal training with KPMG LLP. Before transitioning to the resource industry, he worked in the public practice sector for 6 years, concentrating in commodities-based accounting and tax. He was then employed at Wellgreen Platinum Ltd. involved in mineral exploration, construction, and operations reporting, prior to joining District Copper. Mr. Jensen is also currently the Chief Financial Officer of Copper Fox Metals Inc.
Cam B. Grundstrom
Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Cam B. Grundstrom, B.Sc. Eng., is a mining engineer with extensive operations and development experience. Over his 36-year career he has held key management positions in large mining projects in Canada, USA, and overseas, including assignments in world-class underground and open pit mines where he led teams in attaining production records while ensuring safe and efficient operations. Most recently, Mr. Grundstrom served as Vice President – Operations with Copper Fox Metals Inc., where he was part of the team to take the Schaft Creek Project through to a positive feasibility study.
Hrayr Agnerian, M.Sc., P.Geo.
Mr. Agnerian has a B.Sc. degree in Geology from the American University of Beirut, Lebanon, a Diploma in Mining Exploration, ITC, Delft, The Netherlands, and a M.Sc. (Applied) degree in Geological Sciences from McGill University, Montréal. He has published a number of papers on mineral resource estimations and valuation of exploration properties and is a member of professional associations in Ontario, Québec, and Saskatchewan. Mr. Agnerian has more than 40 years of experience exploring for base and precious metals, industrial minerals, rare earth elements and uranium and has served as a board member for a number of junior resource companies. He also has extensive experience with the Saskatchewan Mining Development Corporation (now CAMECO Corp.). Currently, he is president of Agnerian Consulting Ltd. and an associate of Scott Wilson Roscoe Postle Associates Inc. (Scott Wilson RPA).
Mr. Smith has been a Director of Copper Fox since September 2004 and was Executive Vice President until his retirement in September 2013. Directly associated with daily activities of Copper Fox, including financings and preparation of a Pre-Feasibility and Feasibility Study on the Schaft Creek project, he was involved in negotiating the Joint Venture Agreement between Copper Fox and Teck in 2013. As well, Mr. Smith had a 38 year banking career with RBC Royal Bank, holding senior management positions in Calgary, Edmonton, Montreal, and New York. Mr. Smith is currently a Director and a member of the Audit Committee for Copper Fox, a Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee for District Copper Corp. as well as a Director and Treasurer of a registered public charity.
Chris Healey, P.Geo
Mr. Healey earned a Bachelor of Science degree in geology from the University of Wales in 1968 and is a professional geologist licensed in Saskatchewan and British Columbia. Mr. Healey brings over 48 years of experience in the natural resources industry, covering all aspects, from early stage exploration through development to production. Beginning his career with International Nickel Company (now Vale Limited), he went on to work with Cameco Corporation – the world’s largest uranium producer. Most recently, Mr. Healey was President & CEO of Titan Uranium Inc., a Tier One TSX.V listed company, where his responsibilities included the permitting of a major mine and mineral recovery facility. As well, Mr. Healey has served as the national president for the Geological Society of Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum and has published several papers on resource and reserve evaluations.
